DKC INFO - White Tara Empowerment and Teachings with Drupon Samten Rinpoche

White Tara Empowerment and Teachings with Drupon Samten Rinpoche

Saturday November 21st 10am to 5pm
at
DKC Tibetan Meditation Center,  1600 Sheridan Place, Escondido CA  92027

Drupon Samten Rinpoche will give the Empowerment of White Tara.  He wants to give this empowerment to everyone who is helping build the new center, all the volunteers and others connected to the center. From the spiritual point of view, theses teachings are being given as an offering of generosity and repaying the kindness of the people who have helped us so much to build the monastery.

White Tara helps to increase our wealth and specifically dispels all the fears and obstacles both external and internal.  It is a very important practice for all Buddhists, especially in Tibetan Buddhism there is a powerful connection with this female enlightened being.  There are many stories about Tara and how she has helped people in difficult times and fulfilled their wishes to enable them to be successful in both mundane and super-mundane levels.

White Tara is specialized for long life and brings perfect health.  Lord Buddha Shakyamuni’s mother was an incarnation of Tara.  Tara manifests in many different forms throughout Tibet, India, the Himalayas and other regions in order to help sentient beings free from the sufferings.  Drupon encourages everyone, advanced practitioners and beginners, to make a connection with Tara and to receive the blessings of the empowerment.  Even if you are not a Buddhist, it is good to receive the blessings fromTara to reenergize all of your positive energy and bring inspiration and hope.

Teachings  -  10am to 5pm, - starting with the empowerment in the morning. We will break for lunch around noon.

Food - Please bring something for the potluck lunch to share.  If you are on a special diet, you can bring you own lunch.

Suggested donation: $15.00  All donations will go directly to building the new temple.  Supporting the new temple and receiving the empowerment at the same time will be auspicious.  If you are not able to contribute, you are still welcome to attend.

Children Attending - For this day-long retreat, children will need to stay outside in yard and must be accompanied by an adult who can supervise them at all times..  During the Tara initiation, children will be able to receive a blessing.

If everyone does not fit in the shrine room, there is seating in the adjacent rooms where you will be able to hear and benefit from the teachings.
